The Databricks Data & AI Summit has earned its reputation as the premier event for the global data, analytics and AI community, and this year was certainly no exception. With over 12,000 of the best and the brightest data and AI professionals in attendance, Prophecy kept very busy throughout the week of events, and we could not be prouder of our team and what we were able to accomplish. As one of only three platinum sponsors for the event, we felt a great responsibility to make sure we represented Prophecy as well as Databricks in the best way possible, and we did not take anything for granted. We were able to announce and share our latest innovations at the summit and showcase the success of our amazing customers. The icing on the cake? We had the privilege of exchanging ideas with incredible data professionals from around the world.
As one of the leading topics of the summit, the excitement around generative AI was palpable. This was highlighted by Databricks’ announcements around Lakehouse AI and validated by the endless parade of sessions focused on generative AI and large language models (LLMs). We were able to make a splash of our own by showcasing the recent launch of Prophecy 3.1, which includes:
- Prophecy Data Copilot, our virtual AI assistant that automatically generates visual data pipelines based on natural language prompts
- Generative AI Platform, providing a simple way to power generative AI applications using your privately-owned, enterprise data
This news quickly caught attention, with VentureBeat breaking the announcement, complementing our own blog posts on these topics. Thanks to this momentum heading into the summit, our booth was packed and demo stations full.
One of the best moments for our team was during the session led by our cofounders Raj Bains and Maciej Szpakowski titled "Prompt is all you need: Build a generative AI app on enterprise data in 13 minutes”.
In front of a packed room, Maciej built a generative AI application using Prophecy in just over 13 minutes. The outcome: thunderous applause. We were very humbled but also very excited for what we are bringing to market that will eliminate many of the challenges organizations are facing when executing their enterprise AI strategy.
In one of our other highly regarded sessions at the summit we were incredibly fortunate to have Simon King, VP of Data Quality & Integrity at HealthVerity, one of our esteemed customers, show the world how Prophecy enables production-ready, enterprise-grade data pipelines. We are very thankful for HealthVerity’s participation in this event, and their demonstration at the summit was awe inspiring. Simon presented alongside our very own Pouya Barrach-Yousefi. Together, they illustrated Prophecy’s integration with Databricks Lakehouse and how Prophecy automated data pipelines to detect leaked PHI/PII data and seamlessly quarantine it into Databricks cleanrooms. HealthVerity's involvement put on full display the real-world impact of Prophecy in safeguarding sensitive data and upholding data privacy standards.
This is just one of the many examples of how we’re helping our clients succeed with their data engineering needs. We’re privileged to have some of the biggest leaders in their respective industries on our client list, including names in the Fortune 500, and while we’re not always able to share our customer’s logos or their success stories, we’re grateful when we can. We want to thank HealthVerity again for their participation! We invite you to read more about Health Verity’s use case here.
Finally, the entire Prophecy team would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to theCube for inviting Raj to share his expert insights on the significance of low-code approaches and how Prophecy is ushering in a new era of self-service. Catch the interview with Rob Stretchay.
Our gratitude also goes out to Sanjeev Mohan for his invaluable guidance in navigating trends around the lakehouse and generative AI. Don't miss the opportunity to gain further knowledge from Sanjeev by joining the webinar on "Building high value data products" and exploring his insightful blog post on the round-up of DAIS' events.
And of course, we want to applaud Databricks for putting on the best conference of the year, and for leading the charge on all things Data and AI. To see more from the summit, please check out this great recap by Josh Howard, Sr Director Product Marketing at Databricks.
With this incredible event behind us, we look forward to continuing our journey of innovation, collaboration, and propelling the industry forward. We have a lot of exciting things that we’ll be sharing around low-code data engineering and enterprise AI, so stay tuned and thank you from everyone at Prophecy!
